Tina R. Johnson is President & CEO of JP Events & Consulting, a full-service, award winning event management company, creating some of the region’s most sought after corporate and private events ranging from intimate outings to large public gatherings that draw tens of thousands. Tina has successfully sustained a 28+ year career in the Event Planning & Consulting industry and is a respected and well-known name amongst Loudoun County and surrounding areas. Tina founded the company in 1992 and 28 years later she has grown the company into a successful woman owned business.

A native of Virginia, Tina grew up in Loudoun County and has been a resident for over 40 years. She has been married for 32 years to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of four sons ages 24-29. She is an avid reader, enjoys learning about American history and going to the theater.

A graduate of George Washington University, Tina is highly regarded for her client-centric approach. Tina works 1-on-1 with her corporate and executive level clients as their Event Strategist. She identifies their event goals and objectives, develops a strategy and timeline and delivers on budget and on time. She recognizes as diverse as her clients are, so are their event needs, and alongside her team of creative event managers, she transforms an otherwise ordinary event into an extraordinary and memorable experience. As the leader of the JP Events & Consulting Team, Tina oversees the key developmental stages for each event, ensuring streamlined communication and guidance through all stages of each project. She is supported by a seasoned staff of extraordinary professionals including, event managers, public relations and marketing experts, professional fundraisers, sponsorship coordinators, and support staff. Most notably, Tina routinely draws upon her vast network of industry partners to offer her clients an array of additional services unmatched by other companies in the event management industry.

On a philanthropic note, Tina leverages her corporate event management expertise by giving back to the community and passionately plans and manages events that raise funds and trumpet the causes for a myriad of philanthropic organizations. Tina’s volunteer activities include working with Loudoun Youth, Loudoun Family Services, School Business Partnership, Loudoun County Public Schools, the Medical Reserve Corp and many other business and non-profit organizations.

Tina is very active in the community; she has served on the Board of Directors for Loudoun Interfaith Relief (the largest food pantry in Loudoun County) for 8 years serving as Secretary, Vice President and 3 years, as the President and Chairman of the Board. She has served on the Visit Loudoun Board, The CEO Cabinet, Loudoun Abused Women Shelter (LAWS) and the National Association of Women Business Owners, Greater DC Chapter. She is a graduate of the Leadership Loudoun program. She currently is serving on the Boards of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, and 1,800 plus organization and is the current Chairman of the board. She is the Vice President for the Loudoun First Responders Foundation Board.

In 2009, Tina launched the Virginia Women’s Business Conference; THE one day event for visionary women who want to discover the tools for success, make strategic business connections and leave feeling empowered and inspired to take action. It grew to be the largest conference in the state of Virginia for female executive business leaders.

In 2016, Tina launched The WORKSHOPS, a business and leadership development series that provides tools and strategic solutions for those who are interested in learning and implementing both personal and business development skills in a small group format. Tina is a powerful voice in the community and will continue to blaze trails for the advancement of women in business. She has a passion for helping empower women to make change to lead the life they were meant to lead.

Tina was one of four business leaders to be recognized with the Celebrate Community Leadership Award presented by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce as a top community volunteer for her tireless commitment to the non-profit sector in 2009. The Loudoun County Department of Family Services presented her with the Community Service Award. She was honored in 2009 and 2010 as one of Loudoun’s Leading Ladies in Loudoun Business. In May of 2010, Tina was presented the Community Steward Award by the Town of Leesburg – this award celebrates a for-profit business that participates actively in the community by contributing its resources. She was a finalist for the George C. Marshall Award in 2010 and 2011.

In late 2010 Tina was recognized as Professional Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women. JP Events & Consulting was honored as a finalist for Service Business of the Year by the Loudoun Chamber in 2010 and 2011. Tina was honored nationally as a 2011 Enterprising Women of the Year Award finalist. Most recently, she was chosen to represent the Town of Leesburg in the launch of their Business to Business Marketing Brochure and is featured for her leadership in community service. In the fall of 2011, Tina was honored with the inaugural Audacious Leadership Award by Leadership Loudoun. Most recently Tina was honored with the distinguished Presidents Award from NAWBO Greater DC.

In October 2012, Tina was presented with the Opportunity Seal of Approval from Virginia’s First Lady’s Hall of Fame for her efforts to get involved in the community and for making giving back a priority in her daily business practices. In May 2013, Tina was awarded the Town of Leesburg top award the George C. Marshall Award. In 2014 she was presented with the Loudoun Chamber’s Chairman’s Award. In October 2014, she was awarded the Stand Up Award, for her support of female veterans. In 2015, Tina was a finalist for the Community Leadership Award, Executive Leader. Tina and JP Events & Consulting were awarded Best of Loudoun for event planner and event company in 2015, 2016 and 2017 In June 2016, she was an Honoree of the Woman of Distinction award, presented by NAWBO Greater DC.
